Not always. If your existing fixture used LED globes, we can often reuse the circuit, but any chandelier drawing more than 5 amps usually needs a dedicated line. We test this on the site visit and tell you upfront whether a new breaker is part of the quote.

As a rule we aim for 75 to 85 centimetres between the bottom of the fixture and the tabletop, then adjust for the shape of the room. In open-plan homes with high ceilings we sometimes lift it higher so it does not block sightlines across the space.

Yes, and it is one of our favourite jobs. We rewire tired sockets, replace cracked crystal, clean and re-lacquer brass, then rehang the piece. Restorations typically take seven to ten working days depending on how many replacement parts are needed.

A two-tier crystal fixture generally needs at least 2.8 metres of clear ceiling, and anything taller deserves scaffolding at 4 metres plus. We always weigh the piece and measure the drop before we commit, so nothing ends up crowding your head.

Absolutely. A chandelier on full brightness reads as a design statement, but dimmed to 20 percent it becomes the warm anchor of the room. We use dimmable globes as standard and set a low flicker-free range so the fixture never buzzes at night.
