Seventeen Years Turning Melbourne Rooms Into Light
Offervelocityhub is a lighting studio and installation team based in Cremorne, and we have spent the better part of two decades hanging chandeliers, redesigning halogen-heavy homes and helping Melbourne families see their living spaces in a completely different light. We are not a big retailer with a call centre, we are eleven people who care obsessively about how a room feels at seven in the evening.
Meet the TeamA Workshop, a Ladder and a Very Long To-Do List
Offervelocityhub started in 2008 as a two-person workshop on the edge of Cremorne, running out of a shared warehouse and a second-hand van. The original plan was simple: restore old crystal chandeliers for Melbourne's heritage terrace owners, because nobody else seemed willing to touch them without cracking the plaster. We learned very quickly that installing a heavy fixture properly is as much structural engineering as it is lighting, and that discovery shaped everything we do today.
By 2014 we had our own licensed electricians on staff, and by 2019 we were handling full-house LED retrofits across the inner and eastern suburbs. The studio we run now still smells faintly of brass polish, and we still take on restorations that most installers would refuse. That is the part of the business we never want to lose.

Almost every project we take on simplifies the lighting plan rather than adding to it, and that discipline is what still makes our installs look intentional years later.
